HERITAGE ARTS CENTER
Opened in 2002, the Valdese Heritage
Arts Center is a showcase of area craftspeople and their talents. Within this
building, are crafts such as:
Pine Needle Baskets by Margaret Heilman
Woodworking by Walkers Woodworkers
Pottery
Appalachian Mountain Dulcimers, other wood crafts, and
quilts by Mike and Mary Icard.
Watercolors by Martha Mauney (who painted the "Garden of
Love and Dreams" print for
Hospice of Burke County.)
Jewelry and stained glass by Katie's Kraft Korner.
and assorted hand-made crafts by Joyce and Gwenn Maples
The Center is open from 11:00 a.m.
until 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Hours will be extended on Fridays
between May and September to welcome attendees of the
Family Friday Night Concerts.
